Provost’s Postdoctoral Scholars Program for Faculty Diversity


Eligibility

The program is seeking applicants with the potential to bring to their academic careers the critical perspective that comes from their non-traditional educational background or understanding of the experiences of groups historically underrepresented in higher education.  The Ph.D. degree must come from an institution other than USC.  

Application Info

Candidates should select an academic unit, department, and/or faculty as their proposed host and explain the choice in their cover letter. 

Applicants must submit the following items:

  • Cover letter including explanation of desired program affiliation.
    • please address your letter to your target school, department, and/or faculty.
  • CV
  • Two-page statement of the applicant’s research interests.
  • Applicants will also be required to submit the names, institutional affiliations, and email addresses of faculty members who can supply letters of reference directly to USC.

Applicants will be evaluated based on their prior academic accomplishments, the significance and intellectual merit of their research interests, and their potential contribution to building a culturally diverse community of postdoctoral scholars at USC.
