Since 2009, the National Postdoctoral Association has promoted National Postdoc Appreciation Week to recognize the significant contributions that postdoctoral scholars make to U.S. Higher Education research and discovery. Institutions from across the country and other parts of the world participate by holding special events. The theme of this year’s NPAW is Finding Your Balance. Events will be held across the country throughout the week to create awareness and show appreciation for Postdoc contributions. USC postdocs may attend any the events listed below. The USC Office of Postdoctoral Affairs will also be hosting a resume and CV workshop on Tuesday, Sept 20th (more details here), an industry panel on Wednesday, Sept 21st in collaboration with CHLA TECPAD (more details here), fitness hour on Thursday, Sept 22nd 1pm (more details here), and a “Lunch with the Postdoc Office” event on both our UPC and HSC campuses.
As an institutional member of the National Postdoc Association, all USC postdocs receive free affiliate membership. We hope you take advantage of these opportunities to network, meet each other, and learn new skills. We also encourage you to attend health and wellness events, including our own USC fitness hours and hikes. We look forward to seeing all of you!
